Mermaid Kita is also known as the mermaid of memories. This is because of her tale of how she became a mermaid.

The story goes: There once was a human girl who was hurt by the humans she loved the most. And as she grew older, these memories haunted her and caused her great sadness. She had heard that if you find a pixie and capture it, that the pixie will grant you your most deepest desires. So the human girl went to the most magical spot in the forrest that she could find, right under a waterfall, and set up her pixie trap. and with a bit of patience, the girl managed to capture the pixie. And just as she was told, the pixie asked her what her most deepest desires were. The girl said that she wanted to get rid of her haunting memories and be able to make good ones in return. The pixie did give the girl what she wanted, but at a price: the girl lost her land legs and gained a fish tail! Those bad memories were gone, but so were her few good memories. And before the new mermaid could flip her fins, the pixie was gone and the mermaid now had to learn how to be half fish in this new world with the mission to make good memories with every two-legger she meets!
